SNORKELING

To practice this style of diving, one just needs to know how to swim.
Consists on observing the deep and the sea life from the surface, in shallow water and where the current and undulation are weak. Using only a mask, respiratory tube and fins.

SPECIES USUALLY OBSERVED:
Small colored fish, great clusters of sardines(sarinhas) and mackerels(carapaus), white seabreams(sargos), parrotfishes(vejas), barracudas(barracudas), dusky groupers(meros), etc.

DIVING PLACES:
The place to dive, by norm is chosen on the day, having in consideration the level of expertise of each diver, and their preference on the state of the sea.

VISIBILITY:
Depending on the season and meteorological conditions, the sea in Azores allows up to 30 meters of visibility.
