Begins at the port of São Roque do Pico, discover the wonders of the seafront crafted by the magical hand of nature until the docks of Santo Amaro, where we'll make a stop to watch the naval construction activity and the embroideries of the Pico Island, in the school of Craftsmanship.
We'll cross the canal between the two islands. This canal is a place of passage by many diverse aquatic species like whales, dolphins, turtles, several birds, etc.
On the island of São Jorge, passing the waterfall of São Tomé we'll make a stop for swimming, diving or bathing. We'll pass the fjord of São João, Vimes, Grande and of Almas. We'll stop in Urzelina to lunch in a restaurant and visit the cheese factory of the island and it's local craftsmanship.
We'll cross the São Roque do Pico canal once again on the way back.



TOUR OF THE FAJÃS OF SÃO JORGE ISLAND

Begins on the dock of São Roque do Pico at 10h. We'll cross the canal between the two islands.
This canal is a place of passage by many diverse aquatic species like whales, dolphins, sperm whales, turtles and sea birds like the cory's shearwaters(cagarros) and common tern(garagaus).
The coast of the island of São Jorge is abrupt and steep, with an exuberant vegetation sprinkled by waterfalls and fjords. On days of good visibility we can see the Graciosa and Terceira Islands. On the Island of São Jorge, we'll pass by the Isle of the Rosais, Fajã de João Dias (today being completely uninhabited) Fajã do Ouvidor, where we'll stop for a swim, a dive and a meal on board the vessel.
Continuing our walk through the passage by the Fajã da Ribeira da Areia, with it's natural arch made from lava, Fajã do Mero, Fajã dos Cubres and the Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo, with its green shaded lagoon by the sea, classified as an ecological area and natural reserve. By the Fajã de Santo Cristo, place of excellence for surfing, we'll make a stop if the sea allows it, to walk by foot towards the Fajã and the lagoon, the only natural nursery for for clams on all of the archipelago.
Possibility for lunch on a typical restaurant of the region. On the return to the “Double Marlin” we continue our trip with passage by the Fajã Sanguinhal (today being completely uninhabited), Fajã Entre as Ribeiras (a settlement jammed in the mountain between two streams that drain on the sea).
On the Isle of Topo, we'll make a stop so we can observe the birds that nest there, which allied with its endemic flora of Azores, made it a natural reserve and a special protection zone for birds. With a passage in front of the São Tomé waterfall, the Fajã de São João, Fajã dos Vimes, Fajã Grande and Fajã das Almas.
We'll cross the São Roque do Pico canal once again on the way back.
