MERGULHO DE ESCAFANDRO

To practice this kind of sport, it's necessary that the diver owns a divers license or equivalent of the P1 as acknowledged by the Portuguese Institute of Sports (Instituto Português de Desporto).

Blue runner(Cavaco), grey tiggerfish(peixe-porco), muraena(moreia-preta), blacktail comber(garoupa), red muller(salmonete), dusky grouper(mero), yellowmouth barracuda(bicuda), longfin yellowtail(lírios), knifetooth sawfish(serra), island grouper(badejo), horse mackerel(chicharro), common nase(boga), red scorpion fish(rocaz), octopus(polvo), thicklip grey mullet(tainha), parrotfish(veja), manta ray(jamanta), crevelle jack(enxaréus), anchovy(anchovas).

DIVING PLACES:
There are over 20 locations to dive on the Islands of the Triangle. The place to dive, by norm is chosen on the day, having in consideration the level of expertise of each diver, and their preferences on the state of the sea.

VISIBILITY:
Depending on the season and meteorological conditions, the sea in Azores allows up to 30 meters of visibility.
